Line Item Recycle Bin
Released: June 30, 2022

Users with permissions to lock and unlock items can quickly review and selectively recover deleted line items, categories and sub-categories. The recycle bin button is accessible from your Marketing Activity Plan.

Budget Reallocations Search and Edit Functionality
Released: June 30, 2022

Users can now find the appropriate budget and to reverse the reallocation if it’s still in pending state. The transfer request form fields are also searchable, and the Audit trail captures all the transfer-request activities.

Application Time Out Configuration

Mapping POs/Actuals on Persistent IDs
Released: December 9, 2021

With the new mapping functionality, POs and Actuals can now be mapped with Persistent IDs during import through Unique and Custom Rules.

Global Search - Persistent IDs
Released: December 9, 2021

With the new global search function, marketers now have the ability to search a Persistent ID from the search bar on the home tab. The search ID will return all line items with that ID across multiple years.

Date Formats for Coupa ImportsReleased: November 3, 2021

With support for new date formats, importing financials from Coupa just got easier. You’ll now be able to create an automated process for importing POs and Actuals within Allocadia through pre-configured templates and importing schedules — saving you time.

Persistent ID for Recurring ExpensesReleased: October 16, 2021

To make annual budget rollovers more efficient, we've added a Persistent ID (a unique Allocadia ID) in the details panel to identify to identify recurring marketing expenses such as subscriptions. The Persistent ID will remain the same across multiple years. Our support team will continue to help you make the process as seamless as possible and you can access editing permissions for Persistent IDs through our public API.

Mapping Actuals and Purchase OrdersReleased: July 29, 2021

With our new mapping enhancements, marketers can view a full list of all unmapped POs/Actuals on one screen. This will enable you to efficiently view and map all unmapped financials when updating Forecast and Actual spend.

Marketers will also be able to search for unmapped POs/Actuals using the search bar to locate financials by record numbers or other attributes found in POs/Actuals.

End of Support for Microsoft's Internet Explorer 11 Browser

In 2020, Microsoft announced the decision to no longer support their legacy Internet Explorer 11 browser for Teams and Microsoft 365. As such, we’ve decided to discontinue support for IE 11 effective March 1, 2021.


To ensure you continue to have the best user experience while accessing Allocadia, please have your users switch to a more modern browser such as Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari and set it as their default. Check out our list of browsers that are fully supported, tested and certified to work with Allocadia.

Budget ReallocationsReleased: December 15, 2020

With our efficient budget reallocations process, marketers can be more agile and seamlessly redirect funds to capitalize on unexpected opportunities and optimize investments. Plus, this new functionality allows marketing teams to easily trace and audit shifts in spend and gain better control over the budget transfers or adjustments process.

To enable the reallocations functionality, a User must have access to Master Settings and determined who the Approvers will be from your marketing organization. Budget Reallocations can be enabled or disabled at various levels of the Hierarchy and the transfer/adjustment form can be customized to best align to your organization’s business processes.

Once it's set up, you can access this new feature on the home screen as shown below:

Disabled Column OptionsReleased: September 15th, 2020

Manage historic metadata by deactivating a column option/choice, without impacting existing data or dashboards. You can enable/disable an option/choice for column types (“Drop-down list”, “Activity Type”, “Romi”) from Master Settings.

Track items that are over or under configurable thresholdsReleased: April 22nd, 2020

Calculate variances such as the difference between Q1 Plan vs. Q1 Actuals and make adjustments to your marketing plan as needed. For example, if you set a variance threshold of 6% and the difference between Q1 Plan and Q1 Actuals is equal to or greater than 6% of Q1 Plan, then a colour will be used to highlight this variance wherever this column is displayed.


Try it out now:

  1. Go to 'Settings > Columns'

  2. Click 'Add New' and choose 'Over/Under'

  3. Select two columns you want to compare

  4. Set each color threshold by %, then click 'Save'

  5. Go to 'Settings > Views' to add new column to relevant view(s).

Enhanced mapping for POs and ActualsReleased: March 17, 2020

Our Re-Apply Import Rules feature, so it’s easier to connect these financials to newly created line items. Once the new locations/details have been created in the system, you can go to the map panel and hit a button to reapply the rules configured in the import template used during the import process.

Lock individual cells in 'Column Settings' to maintain data integrity and prevent data overrides. Additionally, you can configure which roles can make locked cells uneditable via a new option in Column Settings.

Ability to retrieve scenario tag dataReleased: June 14th, 2020

Retrieve scenario tag data through our API for improved customizations and integrations.

The following calls have been added to our API:

  • GET /budgets/{budgetId}/scenarios (To retrieve all scenario tags for a budget)

  • PUT /budgets/{budgetId}/scenarios/{scenarioId} (To update a specific scenario tag)

  • DELETE /budgets/{budgetId}/scenarios/{scenarioId} (To delete a specific scenario tag)

Global Activity SearchReleased: Sept 24th, 2019

With Global Activity Search you can quickly find activities (rows in your plans) by name or ID. We only return activities that you have access to and are visible (no scenarios or 0$ filters).

Column IDs Released: May 15th, 2019

Allocadia columns now have their IDs visible within the column settings area. This is to aid in the creation of integrations that must be configured by ID.

Import Exchange Rate OverrideReleased: May 3rd, 2019

Many of our customers support upwards of 20 different kinds of currencies in 100s of columns which can mean 1000s of exchange rates to update quarterly. The import option allows admins to take the spreadsheet provided by finance and upload it to Allocadia with a result in minutes.

A "Fit to Content" button has been added above the activities grid to allow users to quickly resize all columns to fit their content (Not available in Internet Explorer).

Strategic Alignment Currency Toggle Released: September 13th, 2018

Our strategic alignment tool can now be toggled to display alignment in either percentage or the currency of the activity plan. Toggling the display of alignment in this way allows users to view alignment in a far more actionable way.

Improve Top Down DetailsReleased: June 11th, 2018

It's now easier to manage information within your Activity/Budget Plan from top to bottom. When updating the details panel of a Category and Subcategory the changes will cascade down to all items within the folder. Items can override this information by updating the details panel when an item is selected.

Actions have now been extended to the activities grid itself. No longer restricted to just the details panel, actions can now be configured for tasks that apply to a whole budget, such as Allocadia Connect based workflows.

$0 Filter EnhancementsReleased: May 25th, 2018

Two new pieces of configuration have been added around view management. A checkbox to control the default value of the $0 filter has been added to the Page Layout section of budget settings. A checkbox has also been added to the budget grid to quickly toggle between using the default filters for a view, and using the user's local overrides. These enhancements allow budget admins to configure views for their budgets that filter out extraneous information by default.

Line Item Search: New Location

The Activity Plan search has a new location (left-aligned; opposed to right-aligned) to make it easily accessible when updating the details panel.

Quickly Close Pop-ups/Overlays/Modals

When working with pop-up/Overlays/modals you can now easily close them by clicking outside of them, hitting the ‘esc’ key, or ‘return’ key when there is a single choice.

Right-Click to Delete Activity Rows

You can now easily delete rows by right-click and selecting the option from the menu.

External Associations Enhancement

External association metadata, such as IDs referencing Salesforce campaigns, can now be attached to dropdown and multi-select choices within Allocadia via our public API. This will allow MarTech integrations, such as those that we have through Allocadia Connect, to efficiently sync datasets from other systems into Allocadia, opening the door to new avenues for assessing ROI.
