Password Security: Expiry

Allocadia’s password expiration policy enables organizations to define how often users are required to update their password. Requiring users to reset their password on a regular cadence decreases the potential for unwanted visitors to access their account and any of their sensitive data.

Best Practice: There is an option to toggle the password expiry off so that your users’ passwords never expire, but for security purposes we recommend you leave it on.
  1. Click into your name's drop down menu at the top right of the screen and select the Organization Settings.
  2. Select Security in the drop-down menu to navigate to the Security page
  3. On the Security page, click on the Password Expiry Period (Days) metric box and enter your desired range
Note: Allocadia defines the expiration period as 180 days by default. However, your organization might have a defined password reset cadence. Inputting “0” will prompt your organization to require a password change with every login.
